After the success of Lara Croft Go and Hitman Go, Square Enix is not letting up with creating lite mobile game versions of their major console games. Since Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set to launch on August 24th, they have now announced a new Deus Ex Go mobile game that will be launched some time this summer on iOS and Android.
Similar to the original game, you will be able to augment your character as well as hack various things in the environment. This means that you will be able to be invisible, shoot things from afar and many more exciting abilities. The game is puzzle-based and will feature around 60 levels at launch. Furthermore, Square Enix wants to update the game with a level editor after launch, enabling you to create and share new levels. From the screenshots, the gameplay also looks similar to the other Go games where you move in a turn-based manner from point to point.
I played Hitman Go and found that it is an interesting puzzle game and really caters to the casual gamer. I’ve heard Lara Croft Go also evokes the same response and tries to stay in tune with the Tomb Raider games that it comes from. So the mobile version of Deus Ex should be in the same vein. Expect more news in the run up to the launch of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
