If you simply can’t live without tending your virtual crops in Zynga’s Facebook game FarmVille 2, and you’re always on the go, we have some good news for you: the company announced that they plan to release FamrVille 2 on Android, after they announced that 70 million of their 290 million monthly users are playing games on their smartphones.
Although Zynga didn’t specifically note that they will bring FarmVille 2 to Android devices, it would make no sense to release the game on iOS only, right?
“We’re both bringing existing major franchises like FarmVille 2 to mobile and launching new potential franchises in multiple categories,” Zynga CEO Mark Pincus said.
So even though I am not a FarmVille 2 player, I am sure that many fans of the game will be delighted to hear that they have the prospect of continuing their farming ambitions on their mobiles too.
What makes me a bit excited, though, is the announcement of “new potential franchises” because this means new IPs, and new IPs might deliver an amazing product, as Zynga really showed in the past that they have what it takes to create amazing games.
